As a life long Twins fan, it's great to see deserving players like Mauer, Morneau and Nathan get selected once again. Sadly, people on the east coast get so caught up in overloading the votes for their 1Bs that they fail to recognize the year that Morneau is having. As a 1B, only Albert Pujols has better numbers in the entire Major League, yet the small market jinx has put him #3 in the rankings for just the AL. It will continue to be this way as long as fans vote, and while it's sad to see a guy having increasingly better years like Morneau not get the deserved starting spot on the AL roster, I'd much rather him continue to be an All Star reserve in Minnesota pinstripes than jump ship to those other pinstripe wearers. Here's to the success of Justin, and hope that he continues his excellent play to help the Twins get back to the postseason once again.

And it's definitely great to see one of the piranhas, Jason Bartlett, who came up with the Twins and played a few decent seasons for us, get recognized for his great year...although it's too bad to see him doing it for a different team.
