Who cares what Bonerod did in '04. Isn't there anything else you could come up with for a headline today? Stop talking about Bonerod and the Bad News Yankees. They are a mediocre 3rd or 4th place team. All of your main stories revolve around them. Is MSNBC owned by the Yes network? Talk about something worth while like the '08 Cardinals with 22 Wins already this season. Just a thought.

I almost feel sorry for A-Rod. Almost. He deserves most of the barbs he gets - for laying eggs during the playoffs, for trying way too hard to be perfect and likeable, for the free agency stunt he and his agent pulled last October, and for a possible tryst with another woman. If the delivery story was his wife's idea of public revenge, it's kind of lame. I'm sure his private punishment was much worse.

Mike, sports does exist outside of New York! Even beyond the teams that are in the same conferences/leagues that New York has sports teams in.
Your insights into the Yankees, Mets, Giants, and even the oddball Boston moment; are all very in-depth and let's the rest of the country know how things are in NY, but do you really think the other 49 states really give a rat's ***? I mean, the rest of the country respects NY teams, but we don't like them either. We're disgusted that we even know who George Steinbrenner is/was and don't even know who runs our favorite local teams.
So before you start to type, realize that you are looking at the world from the NY city prism and adjust it to realize that while it's the biggest city, it's only one of thousands in this country and most of them are not overran by Yankees fans.
